Pretty Birds for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we have a colour challenge inspired by a picture. I have chosen to use the Pretty Bird stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pretty bird card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Evening Evergreen card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Balmy Blue and Evening Evergreen

The small bird cage image was stamped in the upper left and lower right corners of the Balmy Blue card base.

I embossed the smaller Basic White panel using the ‘In the Clouds’ Embossing Folder and adhered it to the Evening Evergreen layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The panel was then added to the Balmy Blue card front using the same liquid glue.

The three largest birds were stamped in Evening Evergreen ink onto scrap Basic White card. I used the Balmy Blue, Pale Papaya, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam ink to add colour to the birds. They were die cut using the Birdhouse Dies.

The large bird cage was die cut from scrap Evening Evergreen card using the Birdhouse Dies. I added the smallest bird to the back of the birdcage and glued the whole piece to the card front. The other two birds were then added on Dimensionals.
