Stay Warm Card – Stamping Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inspirations Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by a sketch. I have made my card using the pretty Stay Warm stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the stay warm card, you will need:

Poppy Parade card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Garden Green card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic Beige card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3¾” by 1¼” x 3
Garden Green card – 3” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

Using the Damask Designs Embossing Folder I embossed the panel of Basic Beige card and glued it to the Garden Green panel.

A length of Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon was wrapped around the panel before it was glued to the Poppy Parade card front.

I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut three banners from the three small panels of Basic White card.

On the first banner I stamped the stockings with Coastal Cabana ink. On the second banner I stamped the bobble hat with Poppy Parade ink and on the final banner I stamped the mittens with Garden Green ink. The banners were then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

A smaller banner was then die cut from the Garden Green strip using the same dies. The sentiment, from the Ornamental Christmas stamp set, was stamped in Versamark ink, covered with Gold Embossing Powder and set using my Heat Tool. I trimmed off the end and added it to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.

A trio of gold sequins and a ribbon bow completed the card.

Please hop on to see what my friends have created using the sketch for inspiration. Next up is the lovely Leonie Stuart
