Christmas Pudding – yum for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where our theme is July – December Mini Catalogue pre-order. I have chosen to make a Christmas Pudding themed card using the Sweets and Treats stamp set. I love Christmas pud and make my own every year…….yum, yum.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Christmas Pudding card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Mossy Meadow card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right corner – x 2, one for the inside
Heartwarming Hugs dsp – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 4½” by 3”
Basic White card – 3” by ¾”

I glued the panel of Heartwarming Hugs dsp to the layer of Mossy Meadow card using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used the same glue to add the panel to the Thick Basic White card base.

The stand was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the 4½” by 3” panel of Basic White card and the Christmas Pudding added in the same ink. The panel was then die cut using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Tailor Made Tags Dies.

Using the following Blends Markers I coloured in the image – Just Jade, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, Smoky Slate, So Saffron and the Color Lifter. Used a Blending Brush to add some Balmy Blue ink to the background of the tag.

I fed a strip of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon through the hole in the tag and added a double bow made from the Silver Elegant Trim. The tag was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set was stamped on the strip of Basic White in Mossy Meadow ink. I trimmed it out using Scissors. It was added to the card front with glue and Dimensionals.

I stamped the pudding on the larger piece of Basic White and added it to the Mossy Meadow layer and then to the inside of the card.

Cute card, I hope you like it.
