Color & Contour Sympathy card for the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we are sharing projects featuring some or all of the following – Two step stamping, sympathy. Fun fold, trinket and black and white. I have used the Color & Contour stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the Color & Contour sympathy card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 11¾” by 4⅛” – Cut the front at 4⅛”, then cut 1½” off the offcut. The rest is not needed
Basic Black card – 4” by 1⅜” x 2
Basic White card – 4¾” by 3¼” – die cut a Countryside Corner Label
Basic Black card – 4¼” by 2½” – die cut a Countryside Corner Label
Basic White card – 4” by 2¼” – die cut a Countryside Corner Label
Scrap Basic White

Using the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder, I embossed the 2 panels of Basic Black measuring 4” by 1⅜”. The were added to the 1½” flap of the card front and to the 1½” strip that I cut off

The infill image was then stamped over the outline in 2nd generation Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The label was then glued to the Basic Black label and then to the larger Basic White label.

I added glue to the top of the stamped piece and adhered it to the flap of the card front. I placed the other embossed strip along the bottom of the card base and glued the bottom of the label to it.

The sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card. I trimmed it down and added it to the label.
