Heartwarming Hugs Christmas cards

Today I am sharing the 9 Christmas cards made for World Card-Making Day last Sunday using a single 12” by 12” sheet of Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper (dsp).

For the Heartwarming Hugs cards I used:

12” by 12” sheet of Heartwarming Hugs dsp
9 card bases – Thick Whisper White, Real Red, Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow.
4 sheets of Whisper White card for layers and sentiment panels
Scrap Pear Pizzazz, Real Red & Mossy Meadow
Scrap Silver Foil for snowflakes

Using my paper trimmer I cut the DSP into 4” strips. I then cut these down in different ways to use as card fronts using both sides of the paper.

I added Whisper White panels to some of the card fronts, embossing 3 of them using either the Tasteful Textile or Dainty Diamonds embossing folder.

I corner rounded the layers on a couple of cards as well.

The sentiments from the For Unto Us stamp set were stamped in Real Red or Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Whisper White card and cut them out using the Layering Ovals, Stitched Shapes or Stitched So Sweetly dies.

Some of sentiments were backed with other die cut shapes and either Real Red, Mossy Meadow or Pear Pizzazz card before being added to the card fronts.

I used ribbon on some of the cards and even coloured some of the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon using with the Mossy Meadow Blends Markers.

To embellish the cards, I die cut snowflakes from scrap Silver Foil using the So Many Snowflake dies. I finished each card with some Red Rhinestones.
