Textured Merriest Trees card

Back in October I was preparing for my Walk in the Forest Stamp-a-Stack by stamping the largest tree from the Merriest Trees stamp set onto 12” by 12” pizza boxes made from corrugated cardboard. Why? I hear you say………. to hold all the goodies my customers would need to create the 20 cards. As I stamped the tree, I found I was creating a really cool effect and I am recreating the effect for you today.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the textured merriest trees card, you will need:

Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pool Party card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

I inked the large tree with Pretty Peacock ink, stamped it onto a scrap piece of corrugated card then stamped it onto the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card. This gives such a cool effect.

The image was stamped again and then a third time without re-inking.

The ‘snow’ image from the Above It All stamp set was stamped above the trees in Pool Party ink.

The stamped panel was then glued to the Pool Party layer and a piece of Iridescent Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then glued to the Pretty Peacock card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrate with Tags stamp set in Night of Navy ink onto scrap Basic White card and used one of the pretty labels from the Autumn Leaves Dies to cut it out.

The sentiment was added over the ribbon, a bow was added and a trio of Festive Pearls finished the card.
