Trimming the Town

Thank you for joining me today for this month’s Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Favourite DSP’. I have chosen to the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper (dsp) which is hands down, my favourite dsp this year. I love the colour palatte and the versatility of this paper.

To recreate the Snowy Scene card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 2”
Trimming the Town dsp – 5⅜” by 3”

Using the Home Together dies and my Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine I die cut the snow bank and tree line from the 2 panels of Whisper White card.

I adhered the piece of dsp to the Thick Whisper White card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The tree line was added using the same glue.

Using the same dies I cut out the house and a tree from the sheet of dsp – I love that the dies allow us do this. The house and tree were added to the card front.

The snow bank layer was added on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was trimmed out from one of the other sheets of dp and glued to the card front. A single star from the All the Trimmings Embellishment pack to complete the card.

To recreate the single house card you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Trimming the Town dsp – 5⅞” by 2”
Old Olive – 4” b 3”
Whisper White – 4” by 3”

I adhered the strip of dsp to the Pool Party card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using the Layering Oval dies I cut an oval from the small piece of Whisper White and a scalloped oval from the Old Olive card.

I used the snowflake stamp to randomly stamp all over the White oval in Pool Party ink. The oval was glued to the scalloped oval using the liquid glue.

I die cut a house and a tree from one of the sheets of dsp using the Home Together dies. These were glued to the oval piece. The oval was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was cut from one of the dsp sheets and added to the card front.

I added a star to the top of the pretty little tree to complete the card.
