Wonderful Iris card

I can’t get enough of the Wonderful World Sale-a-Bration stamp set and have made a pretty birthday card using the Iris image.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the wonderful Iris card, you will need:

Pear Pizzazz card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Flirty Flamingo card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Flirty Flamingo card – 3” by 2½”
Basic White card – 2½” by 2¼”
Wonderful World dsp – 3 ¾” by ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I ran the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Hive Embossing Folder. The embossed panel was glued to the Flirty Flamingo layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added it to the Pear Pizzazz card front using the same glue.

Using the Beautiful Shapes dies, I cut a hexagon from the small piece of Basic White card and a slightly larger hexagon from the Flirty Flamingo card.

I flagged the ends of the strip of designer series paper and added it to the card front.

Using a Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write Marker I added ink to the Iris flower. I used a Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Marker to add colour to the stem and leaves. I huffed on the inked stamp and stamped it onto the Basic White hexagon. The image was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Charming Sentiments stamp set was stamped in Old Olive ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Sentiment Silhouette Dies. It was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
