Floral Reverse Embossing Card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing techniques using embossing folders. I have made my card using the gorgeous Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the floral reverse embossing card, you will need:

Basic Beige card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Berry Burst card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic Beige card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic Beige card – 2½” by 2½”

I embossed the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic Beige card using the Sunflower 3D embossing folder.

The embossed panel was placed face, or embossed side down and added Berry Burst ink with a Sponge Dauber to the petals of the flowers. The leaves were coloured in the same way using Garden Green ink and to the flower centres using Pecan Pie ink.

Taking a Secret Sea ink pad, I dragged it lightly across the coloured embossed panel from top to bottom. I repeated this until the whole panel was covered. A length of Gold Mesh Ribbon was wrapped around the layer before being secured on the back with Sellotape.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I glued the embossed panel to the Berry Burst layer. The whole piece was then glued to the Basic Beige card front.

The sentiment, from the Layers of Beauty stamp set was stamped on the small square of Basic Beige card with Secret Sea ink. I die it out using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

A trio of gold dots and a ribbon bow finished the card.
