Seasonal Whimsy

A seasonal whimsy card made using the Stitched With Whimsy dies, the Seasonal Label dies and the Christmas Season stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the seasonal whimsy card, you will need:

Real Red card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Garden Green card – 5⅝” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White

I took the lovely Stitched With Whimsy Dies and used the larger square shape to emboss the top of the smaller Basic White panel. The die was then moved down and another square embossed at the bottom of the same panel. The squares do overlap but this will be hidden.

The embossed panel was added to the Garden Green layer using the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and the panel added to the Real Red card base on Dimensionals.

The larger leaves were stamped in Shaded Spruce ink, the holly leaves were stamped in Garden Green ink and the spriggy bits were stamped in Soft Succulent ink. They were die cut using the Seasonal Labels dies.

The base layer of the pinecone was stamped in 2nd generation Soft Suede ink and the more detailed layer was added in full strength Soft Suede ink. The holly berries were stamped in Real Red ink. The pinecones and berries were then die cut using the same Seasonal Labels dies.

I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to add the leaves, pinecones and berries to the embossed panel. I stamped some of the dots in Real Red around the leaves.
