Colour Blocked Thank You card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

I saw a video recently using a colour blocking technique and thought I would give it a try. I have used the Delicate Forest stamp set to make my card. Basic White card – 5¼” by 3¾”

I used some washi tape from my stash to mask off areas on the 5¼” by 3¾” panel of Basic White card.

Using Blending Brushes, I added Lemon Lolly ink to all three panels, varying the position with each panel. Next, I added Peach Pie ink. Finally, I added Petunia Pop ink to each masked third.

Leaving the washi tape in position I stamped a couple of the images from the Delicate Forest stamp set in Pebbled Path ink onto each panel. I carefully removed the washi tape.

I inked the sentiment, from the My Small Business stamp set, using the three colours used for blending. I started with the ‘A and N’ which I inked up with Lemon Lolly ink, having masked off the other 4 letters. The remaining letters were then inked up and the whole world stamped in the blank area.

Pink Zinnias card

I have used the pretty Simply Zinnias stamp set and Dies to make a lovely pink zinnias themed thank you card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the pink zinnias card, you will need:

Berry Burst card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3”
Blackberry Bliss card – 3⅜” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 3¼” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

Using the outline zinnia flower stamp, I randomly stamped on the Berry Burst card front in Berry Burst ink.

The slice of wood was stamped on the 3¼” by 2¾” panel of Basic White card in 2^nd generation Crumb Cake ink. The stamped panel was glued to the Blackberry Bliss layer and then to the 3½” by 3” layer of Basic White card. The whole piece was then mounted onto the Berry Burst card front on Dimensionals.

The outline zinnia flower was stamped in Blackberry Bliss and Berry Burst ink on scrap Basic White card. I also stamped the pair of leaves with Mossy Meadow ink. All of these images were die cut using the Simply Zinnias Dies.

The Blackberry Bliss flower was coloured with Berry Burst Blends Pens. The Berry Burst flower was coloured with Bubble Bath Blends Pens. Lemon Lolly Blends Pens were used to colour the flower centres of both flowers. One pair of leaves were coloured with Old Olive Blends Pens and the other with Mossy Meadow Blends Pens. The flowers and leaves were added to the card front.

The sentiment, from the Attention Shoppers stamp set was stamped in Berry Burst ink onto scrap Basic White card which I then trimmed down before adding to the card front.

A White Baker’s Twine bow and a trio of Purple Shimmer Gems finished the card.

Country Birdhouse card

I have been playing with the new Country Birdhouse stamp set and dies and have made a pretty thank you card.

To recreate the country birdhouse card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Smoky Slate card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Country Woods dsp, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, Granny Apple Green, Misty Moonlight, Smoky Slate & Basic Black

The sentiment, from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set was stamped at the bottom of the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card in Misty Moonlight ink.

From scrap pieces of Country Woods dsp I die cut the whole birdhouse and the bottom panel of the birdhouse. I die cut the hole in the birdhouse and glued a scrap of Basic Black card behind the whole.

I stamped the pieces of the roof from scrap Basic White, Smoky Slate and Misty Moonlight card. The pieces were placed together and held in place with Dimensionals. I added them over the top of the dsp birdhouse. The bottom panel was added to the base of the birdhouse on Dimensionals.

The birdhouse stand was die cut from scrap Smoky Slate card. This was glued to the Basic White panel and the birdhouse glued on top.

A selection of flowers and leaves were die cut from scrap Basic White, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Granny Apple Green card. These were added to the card front with Mini Glue Dots and/or liquid glue.

Iridescent Pearls were added to the flower centres to finish the card.

Fluffy Cat Thank You card

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog hop where we are showcasing something we have been working on recently. I have used the new to me Fluffiest Friends stamp set to make a pretty thank you card for a cat loving friend.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the fluffy cat card, you will need:

Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Perennial Lavender dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 2” by ½”

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the Perennial Lavender dsp to one of the 5½” by 3¾” panels of Basic White card. The panel was then adhered to the Gray Granite card base.

From the 3 ½” by 3 ½” piece of Basic White card I die cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The cat and the flowers were stamped onto the die cut circle using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the image – Petal Pink, Lemon Lolly, Soft Sea Foam, Gorgeous Grape, Smoky Slate & Gray Granite.

Using 2^nd generation Smoky Slate ink I stamped the clouds from the Under The Moon stamp set. The circle was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Simple Thank You Card – Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we have a sketch for inspiration. I have to say, I found this sketch a bit of a challenge and a number of attempts went in the bin before I made a card I was happy with. I used the Cake Fancy stamp set to make a simple thank you card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the simple thank you card, you will need:

Calypso Coral card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

Using the Grid Paper, I lined up the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card so that it was straight.

The first row was stamped in Summer Splash ink using the swirly ‘icing’ image.

The second, and smallest row of hearts was stamped using Calypso Coral ink. Lastly, I stamped the tiny leaves in Lemon Lime Twist ink.

I auditioned various sentiments stamped on various labels in various colours but none of them looked right and I ended up stamping a sentiment from the Sweetly Scripted stamp set along the bottom of the panel.

The stamped panel was then glued to the Basic Black layer and then mounted onto the Calypso Coral card base on Dimensionals.

Magnolia Seed Pod card

Today’s card was made using the Magnolia Mood stamp set and co-ordinating dies and features the magnolia seed pod.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the magnolia seed pod card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pebbled Path card – 5⅛” by 3 ⅜”
Lighter Than Air dsp – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Scrap Basic White and Pebbled Path card

The panel of Lighter Than Air dsp was glued to the layer of Pebbled Path card.

A length of Pebbled Path Textured Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. I added a length of Gold Ribbon was adhered down the centre of the Pebbled Path Ribbon and the whole layer was the adhered to the Thick Basic White card base.

The magnolia seed pod, form the Magnolia Mood stamp set, was stamped on scrap Basic White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I die cut it out using the Magnolia Mood Dies.

From the square of Basic White card, I die cut a circle using the Everyday Details dies. The die cut circle was then added to the card front on Dimensionals and the coloured image was then glued to the die cut circle.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Attention Shoppers stamp set, was stamped in Versamark ink, covered with White Embossing Powder and set using a Heat Tool. I trimmed it out, flagged the ends and glued it to the card front.

A trio of Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins and a gold bow completes the card.

The card I am sharing today is made with the pretty new stamp set called Country Flowers, available from the 1^st May 2024 in the new annual catalogue.

To recreate the country flowers card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Fresh As A Daisy dsp – 5⅞” by 2”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card and Fresh As A Daisy dsp

Using Balmy Blue ink, I stamped the leafy spray in the upper left and lower right corners of the Balmy Blue card front.

I flagged the end of the 5⅞” by 2” piece of Fresh as a Daisy dsp and glued it down the centre of the card front.

Using a Blending Brush, I added Balmy Blue ink to the centre of the 4¼” by 3” panel of Basic White card. I stamped the ‘ground’ image from the Trucking Along stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added the sentiment, from the Simply Said stamp set, in Balmy Blue ink below. The panel was then glued to the card front.

The image of the teapot was stamped onto a scrap of Fresh As A Daisy dsp using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The leafy spray was stamped on scrap Basic White card with the same ink. Both pieces were then die cut using the Country Flowers Dies.

The leaves were coloured with the Granny Apple Green Blend Pens. I mounted the teapot and leaves onto the card front on Dimensionals.

Row of Coffee Cups – Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are saying goodbye to the 2022 – 2024 In Colors which will retire in 10days. These bright, vibrant colours have been fun to use and I will miss them, particularly Parakeet Party! I have used the Latte Love stamp set and dies to make my card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the row of coffee cups card, you will need:

Starry Sky card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 2⅛”
Parakeet Party card – 5⅞” by ¾”
Tahitian Tide card – 5⅞” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky & Pecan Pie

From scraps of cardstock, I die cut a mini coffee cup in Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky. I also die cut the little coffee pieces for the top of the cups from scrap Pecan Pie card.

I placed the cups on the 5⅞” by 2⅛” panel of Basic White card. I moved them around until I was happy with the layout. Each cup was then lifted up and the ‘coffee splatter’ image was stamped in the co-ordinating colour. I used 2^nd generation ink. Each cup was then added on a Dimensional.

The sentiment was stamped in Starry Sky ink above the cups.

Using the Basic Borders Dies, I die cut a decorative edge from the strips of Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide card. These were then glued to the bottom of the stamped panel.

The whole piece was then glued to the Starry Sky card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I used the co-ordinating Blends Pens to colour in the Classic Matte Dots, one for each colour. These were then added to the card front.

Today I am sharing a thank you card featuring a mug of coffee made using the Latte Love stamp set and co-ordinating Dies.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the coffee anyone card, you will need:

Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Stargazing dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – For the inside
Scrap Basic White card

The panel of Stargazing dsp was adhered to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card. A length of White Diagonal Trim was wrapped around the panel before it was adhered to the Pretty Peacock card base.

The coffee mug, from the Latte Love stamp set, was stamped onto scrap Basic White card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I die cut it out using the Latte Love Dies.

I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the mug – Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and the Color Lifter.

From the square of Basic White card, I die cut a Deckled Circle. A Smoky Slate Blends Pen added some colour to ground the mug before it was glued down to the circle. The circle was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink onto scrap Basic White card and trimmed out with Scissors before it was added to the card front.

Today I am sharing a pretty purple zinnia card made using the Simply Zinnias stamp set and dies and the Perennial Lavender dsp.

To recreate the purple zinnia card, you will need:

Gorgeous Grape card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Perennial Lavender dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Perennial Lavender dsp – 3¾” by 1”
Three colour glimmer paper – Highland Heather – 3¾” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

The large piece of Perennial Lavender dsp was glued to the largest Basic White panel and then to the Gorgeous Grape card front.

The strip of Highland Heather Glimmer paper was glued to the strip of Perennial Lavender dsp and this piece was the adhered to the card front.

From the 4¼” by 2½” piece of Basic White card I die cut a rectangle using the Everyday Details dies. I used Gorgeous Grape ink to stamp the sentiment and to randomly add the dotty image.

I stamped the large zinnia flower and double leaf image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card. These were then die cut using the Simply Zinnias Dies.

The images were coloured using the following Blends Pens – Light Fresh Freesia, Light & Dark Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lolly and Pretty Peacock. The flower and leaf were then glued to the die cut label. The label was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals
