Vases in an Arch Card – Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we have a colour combo to inspire us. I have made my card using the pretty Pop-up Petals stamp set and dies.

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the vases in an arch card using the following supplies:

Azure Afternoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic White – 5⅝” by 3¾”
Shaded Spruce – 5” by 3½”
Basic White – 4½” by 3¼”
Shaded Spruce – 1⅝” by ¼”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White

I ran the 5⅝” by 3¾” panel of Basic White card through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. I wrapped a length of retired Azure Afternoon Ribbon around the panel before adhering it to the Azure Afternoon card base.

I die cut an Arch from the 4½” by 3¼” piece of Basic White using the Everyday Arches Dies. A slightly larger arch was then die cut from the Shaded Spruce panel.

Using a Blending Brush I added Azure Afternoon ink to the Basic White arch before the two arches were adhered together and added to the card front.

On scrap Basic White card, I stamped the vase with Shaded Spruce ink, the pot with Azure Afternoon ink. The outline flower images were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the infill rose with Pumpkin Pie ink and the leaves with 3rd generation Shaded Spruce ink. The daises were stamped in Crushed Curry ink with the flower centres added with 3rd generation Shaded Spruce ink. The leaves were coloured using a Shaded Spruce Blends Pen. The images were die cut and added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Lovely Arrangements stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the small piece of Shaded Spruce card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool before adding it to the card front.

A trio of Rainbow Dots completed the card.
